Water service cuts of up to 12 hours scheduled for Tuesday in Lima districts

Sedapal, the water utility for Lima, Peru, has announced planned temporary interruptions to water service affecting multiple districts on Tuesday, August 11. These disruptions are necessary for essential maintenance work, specifically pipe connection tasks and reservoir cleaning. Residents in the affected areas are advised to prepare for potential shortages, with some interruptions expected to last as long as 12 hours.

The scheduled outages will impact several key districts across the capital. These include Miraflores, Lurigancho, Ate, San Juan de Lurigancho, Carabayllo, Los Olivos, and Villa María del Triunfo. Each district will experience different timings for the water cutoff and restoration, varying based on the specific location and the nature of the maintenance work being performed.

For instance, in Miraflores, the interruption is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in areas like Urbanización Miraflores and Urbanización Santa Cruz, due to pipe connections. In Lurigancho, a 12-hour period from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. is planned for reservoir cleaning in the San Antonio de Carapongo urbanization. San Juan de Lurigancho faces multiple service interruptions, with some areas experiencing cuts from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and others from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., also for reservoir cleaning.
