The New Maracana Stadium in Tolu buzzed with energy as over 300 children, aged 10 to 15, converged for the Nat Idowu Summer Camp. The event, organized by the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation, aims to nurture young talent and build character through sports.

For many, the camp represented a significant opportunity. Twelve-year-old Solomon James, who arrived at 5 a.m., described receiving football boots for the first time as a "symbol of possibility." He expressed his ambition to "score many goals this month."

The coaches were so nice. We played games and I made new friends. I can’t wait to come back tomorrow.

Ten-year-old Blessing Sanusi found joy in making new friends and enjoying the coaches' company, eagerly anticipating the next day. Fifteen-year-old goalkeeper Divine, equipped with new gloves from "Gear 'em Up," relished the challenging drills, aspiring to emulate Super Eagles legends.

Camp Coordinator McAnthony Anaelechukwu highlighted the foundation's vision: "This is about catching them young, building their talent, and building their character." Parents expressed gratitude for the safe and inspiring environment provided for their children.
