Over 5.5 Million Officials, Employees, and Pensioners to Receive Salary Increases

Vietnam is implementing a significant salary and pension increase effective July 1, benefiting millions of citizens. Over 2 million civil servants, public employees, and members of the armed forces will see their salaries rise by 8%. This adjustment aims to improve the living standards of public sector workers.

The reform also extends to retirees and those receiving social insurance benefits. Around 3.55 million individuals are set to receive increased pension payments and social insurance allowances. This measure reflects the government's commitment to supporting its elderly population and ensuring financial stability for pensioners.

Furthermore, the policy introduces new allowances for 1,500 communes. This targeted support is expected to bolster local development and provide additional resources for these communities.
