Over 600 people join forces to clean Da Nang beach, exchange trash for plants

Da Nang, a city renowned for its stunning coastline, has once again demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship with the "Keep Da Nang Beach Green" initiative. On April 24, over 600 dedicated volunteers, including youth union members, officials, and students, converged on Ha Khe beach for a massive cleanup operation.

This event, organized by the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches, was more than just a cleanup; it was a powerful call to action. As the 2026 beach tourism season approaches, the initiative underscores the urgent need for collective responsibility in safeguarding our precious marine ecosystems. The sight of volunteers, young and old, diligently collecting plastic waste, nylon bags, and bottles served as a potent reminder of the impact of pollution on our environment.

A particularly engaging aspect of the day was the "exchange trash for gifts" program. This innovative approach not only incentivized participation but also fostered a deeper understanding of environmental protection.
