Oyo abduction: Officials hail Tinubu, Makinde, security agencies for rescuing pupils, teachers

Nigerian officials have lauded President Bola Tinubu, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makman, and various security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State. Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State described the operation as a clear demonstration of President Tinubu's dedication to combating insecurity and safeguarding Nigerians.

Abiodun stated that the safe return of the victims validated the President's pledge to deploy all necessary efforts for their freedom and the apprehension of perpetrators. He emphasized that the neutralization of some abductors and the arrest of others send a strong message that Nigeria is increasingly hostile to criminal elements like kidnappers and bandits. "This operation has demonstrated that under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, there will be no safe haven for criminal elements," Abiodun said. He commended the professionalism and courage of the Armed Forces, police, DSS, and local intelligence operatives.

Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa echoed these sentiments, calling the rescue a significant victory for the nation that has restored hope to affected families and the public. He praised President Tinubu, the Federal Government, the Nigerian Army, the police, and Governor Makinde for their roles. Obasa also acknowledged the resilience of security agencies and expressed sympathy for families who lost loved ones. He urged continued public support for security institutions by providing timely and credible information to prevent criminal activities, reaffirming Ogun State's commitment to collaborating with federal and neighboring state authorities to ensure security in the South-West.
