Oyo govt accuses FG of politicising Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode road

The core of the accusation is the alleged exclusion of Governor Seyi Makinde from the project's official flag-off ceremony.

The project's inauguration event was held on Monday at Idi Ayunre, located within the Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State. The state government views this exclusion as a politically motivated act, aimed at undermining the governor's role and the state's involvement in a significant infrastructure project.

This dispute highlights ongoing tensions between the state and federal governments regarding the execution and recognition of development projects.
