Pahang: Felda's Greatest Success Story, a Reality Not Fantasy - Wan Rosdy

Pahang continues to solidify its status as the greatest success story of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), with over 43,000 settler families from across the country establishing new lives on 115 land schemes spanning 203,012 hectares in the state over seven decades.

Pahang is the state most synonymous with Felda, having three regions: Wilayah Jengka, Wilayah Kuantan, and Wilayah Mempaga, encompassing 115 land schemes involving 43,126 settler families.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Diraja Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail emphasized that this achievement is more than just figures on paper; it is tangible proof of the nation's rural development agenda effectively transforming hundreds of thousands of families from poverty to prosperity. Pahang is particularly synonymous with Felda, hosting three major regions: Wilayah Jengka, Wilayah Kuantan, and Wilayah Mempaga, encompassing these 115 schemes and benefiting 43,126 settler families.

"Felda's success is not merely numerical; it is the heartbeat of the state's development, as Felda's progress also acts as a catalyst for Pahang's economic growth and overall development," Wan Rosdy stated during the Felda Settlers' Day Celebration and 70th Anniversary event. The state government is committed to strengthening development for Felda citizens by establishing the Sekretariat Muafakat Felda Pahang with an allocation of RM5 million. This secretariat will coordinate efforts in education, economy, welfare, youth, and community development.

This success is not just figures on paper, but tangible proof of the effectiveness of the nation's rural development agenda, which has successfully transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of families from poverty to prosperity.

Furthermore, 16,035 lots have been provided under the Skim Tanah Rakyat Felda Pahang, enabling the new generation to own their homes. Wan Rosdy also noted that the state has successfully resolved 99.5% of land ownership matters for settlers, with 42,894 receiving their grants and the remainder to be settled this year. The close cooperation between federal and state governments has driven Pahang's economic growth, with its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increasing from RM68.7 billion in 2024 to RM71 billion last year. Political stability and governance form the foundation for the state's prosperity, creating more job opportunities, educational access, healthcare facilities, and aid for the people.
