Pakistan and Seven Other Muslim Nations Condemn Israeli Ministers’ Statements on Removing Palestinians from Gaza

Pakistan joined seven other Muslim nations in condemning statements by Israeli ministers about removing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The governments objected to proposals involving plans and mechanisms for forcibly taking Palestinians from their land.

The statements revived an idea repeatedly voiced by Israeli right-wing politicians over the past three years. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir presented a seven-year plan for removing Gaza’s population through what he called “voluntary emigration.”

Defense Minister Israel Katz said there was “no real solution for Gaza in the end without this migration.” He added that Israel was prepared to move Palestinians “by sea, by air, by every way possible” if that became feasible.
