Pakistan ready to extend cooperation with Iran in all fields, Naqvi tells Iranian counterpart

Pakistan is prepared to deepen its cooperation with Iran across all fields, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni. Momeni is on an official visit to Pakistan, where he was welcomed with a guard of honor by the Federal Constabulary.

The two ministers engaged in one-on-one and delegation-level discussions, reviewing bilateral relations, trade, and regional developments. A key focus was enhancing cooperation in counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics efforts. Both sides also agreed to collaborate on preventing illegal immigration and combating human trafficking.

Furthermore, Naqvi and Momeni emphasized the necessity of joint initiatives to curb drug smuggling and terrorism, particularly those originating from the Afghan border. They also committed to improving coordination in these critical areas.
