Palanga Festival Draws Crowds with Music, Air Show, and Family Fun

Palanga, Lithuania's beloved seaside resort, is buzzing with activity as it hosts the "Myliu Palangą 2026" festival. The three-day event, which kicked off with a vibrant Saturday evening, has drawn large crowds of locals and visitors eager to enjoy the early summer festivities.

The festival's second day, Saturday, saw the coastal town come alive with a diverse range of entertainment. The main stage featured performances by popular Lithuanian artists Monika Liu, Free Finga, and Beissoul & Einius. As evening fell, the skies above the Palanga pier were illuminated by a spectacular air show from the Latvian jet ski group "Baltic Bees."

Beyond the main stage and air show, the festival offered a rich tapestry of activities across various locations. Birutė Park hosted concerts by GOYA and the Palanga Orchestra, alongside a performance by Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė with the "Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble." The "Palangos Juzė" fair operated throughout the day, offering traditional crafts and food. Families found a dedicated space in the "Šeimų slėnis" (Family Valley), which provided numerous educational and recreational activities. These included creative workshops, social service center events, historical reenactments by the "Husaras" sword school, and an initiative by the Lithuanian Blind and Visually Impaired Union.

The festival is set to conclude on Sunday with a more relaxed, family-focused program. This includes children's concerts, demonstrations by emergency services, a foam show, beach dancing, and moments of tranquility in Birutė Park. The "Palangos Juzė" fair will continue until 4 p.m., and the Family Valley will host health and discovery stations, creative workshops, and a DJ performance by the Palanga Schoolchildren's Club. The day will also feature 3x3 basketball, a "Zumba Beach Party," and a meditative "Gongo garsai" event in the Palanga Botanical Park.
