Palestine: Death Toll from Zionist Aggression Rises to 73,387 Martyrs and 174,257 Injured

Palestinian health authorities have updated the casualty figures from the Israeli offensive in Gaza, reporting 73,387 deaths and 174,257 injuries since October 7, 2023. The figures indicate that women and children constitute the majority of those killed and wounded, with numerous individuals still believed to be trapped beneath the rubble.

Since a ceasefire took effect on October 11, 1,259 Palestinians have been killed and 4,146 injured, according to health authorities. The bodies of 807 martyrs have been recovered.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israeli operations involving excavation of agricultural lands and uprooting of trees have intensified since the beginning of the year. These actions, coupled with the expansion of settlements and the construction of bypass roads, threaten the agricultural sector and the livelihoods of thousands of Palestinian farmers.

A report by the Palestinian news agency Wafa, titled "Excavation and Uprooting of Trees: Colonization Targets Agricultural Cover in the West Bank," highlighted that the repercussions extend beyond directly affected land. Destruction of wells, severed water pipelines, and restrictions on farmers' access to their land reduce production capacity and endanger food security.

In the Jenin governorate, recent excavation activities have impacted agricultural lands and fruit trees in several villages. The establishment of the "Emek Dotan" settlement on 72 dunams of land in Arraba and a colonial road project threaten vast agricultural areas and isolate farmland from its owners.

In the Tubas governorate and the northern Jordan Valley, a project called "Scarlet Fil" involves excavating large tracts of agricultural land for a military road and a 22-kilometer separation wall. Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and Environmental Quality Authority data indicate 685 environmental violations in the West Bank.
