Palestinian Authority, Bahrain, Muslim World League Welcome Saudi-Pakistan-Türkiye Defense Pact

A new mutual defense agreement between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Türkiye has garnered positive reception from the Palestinian Authority, Bahrain, and the Muslim World League. The pact, known as the "Makkah Joint Defense Agreement," establishes that an armed attack against any one of the three nations will be viewed as an assault on all of them.

The Palestinian Presidency stressed that strengthening the capabilities of the nations and enhancing their integration and cooperation in protecting their security, sovereignty and legitimate interests constitute a fundamental pillar of regional stability and the preservation of their peoples' resources.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari lauded the agreement, characterizing it as a crucial development for fostering peace, security, and stability across the region and the world. He emphasized that the pact would bolster the joint defense capabilities of the three countries, underscoring their collective commitment to a secure, stable, and prosperous future.
