Palestinian homes set ablaze in West Bank village attack, suspects flee scene

The Israeli military and police are investigating a suspected arson attack where Israeli settlers allegedly set fire to multiple Palestinian homes in the West Bank village of Tuba. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, left several residents injured.

IDF forces and local police responded to reports of the arson attack. Upon arrival, officers discovered burned buildings, graffiti, and damaged property. The suspects had fled the scene before authorities arrived. According to a Haaretz report, approximately six Palestinians were wounded, including four children aged 5, 6, 8, and 10, along with a 35-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man.

The IDF issued a statement strongly condemning the attack. "The IDF strongly condemns such incidents, including harming residents, including women and children," the statement read. "The IDF expects law enforcement agencies to bring the suspects to justice."

This incident follows similar reports from Tuesday, where Palestinians claimed Israeli settlers set fire to vehicles and property in the villages of Talfit and Jalud, near Nablus. Graffiti, including "Revenge" and "Avi, go home," was found at one of those scenes, possibly targeting Central Command Chief Maj.-Gen. Avi Bluth. Defense Minister Israel Katz had initially announced his intention to dismiss Bluth but reversed the decision after meeting with settlement leaders.
