Páll Magnússon to Host Political Program Sprengisandur

Páll Magnússon, a former member of parliament and radio director, is set to host the political discussion program Sprengisandur on Bylgjan radio. His first episode is scheduled for Sunday, August 30.

Magnússon will succeed Kristján Kristjánsson, who is departing the show after nearly ten years at the helm. Stefán Valmundarson, the radio director for Sýn, expressed gratitude for Kristjánsson's contributions, noting his excellent work and the program's significance as a platform for national discourse.

Magnússon shared his anticipation for the new role. "The program is, in many ways, the best platform in the Icelandic media landscape for delving into the day's political and societal discussions – and is thus extremely important. I will do my best to ensure it remains so," he said.

Kolbeinn Tumi Daðason, editor-in-chief of Sýn's news department, will host the program on Sunday, August 23.
