PAN CDMX Offers Virtual Aid Against Property Seizures, Blames Authorities

The National Action Party (PAN) in Mexico City is actively combating what it describes as an "industry of dispossession," asserting that this criminal enterprise thrived and solidified during the previous administration led by Claudia Sheinbaum. The party continues to offer virtual legal assistance to victims through its website, pancdmx.org.mx.

Federico Döring, spokesperson for PAN CDMX, directly linked the issue to corrupt elements within the prosecutor's office and police force. Priscila Vera, a member of the PAN's National Executive Committee, echoed these sentiments, attributing the crisis in Mexico City to the "omission and collusion of the city's authorities." She highlighted official statistics indicating 21 property seizures per 100,000 inhabitants, with the prosecutor's office handling approximately two thousand cases. Vera suggested that the actual number of unreported cases is likely much higher, as victims fear retaliation and distrust the authorities, especially when officials themselves are implicated.

PAN contends that the current crisis is a direct consequence of the ruling Morena party's policies and alleged connections to "invading groups" and corrupt officials who facilitate organized crime networks.
