Panama Canal Publishes Amendment for Energy Corridor Pre-qualification

The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has released Amendment No. 3 to the prequalification document for its strategic Energy Corridor initiative. This move is a key step in the ongoing process to select a concessionaire for this vital project, which is designed to bolster Panama's position in the international energy market.

The prequalification phase for the Energy Corridor began on January 30, 2026, with the initial publication of the relevant documentation. Since then, the ACP has issued several updates, including Amendment No. 1 on March 27 and Amendment No. 2 on May 29. The latest amendment, No. 3, is now available for review on the ACP's concessions portal.

According to the ACP, the publication of prequalification documents, consultation periods, and the issuance of amendments are standard mechanisms within the Authority's Concessions Regulations. These processes are designed to foster interaction between interested parties and the ACP throughout the selection procedure.
