Panama is set to make history in the UEFA Champions League with three of its players set to compete in the upcoming season. This milestone achievement has resonated deeply within the nation's sporting community, with football legend Blas Pérez emphasizing its profound significance.

Cristian Martínez, César Blackman, and Andrés Andrade have all secured spots in the elite European club competition. During a television broadcast, Pérez underscored the evolution of Panamanian footballers following their World Cup appearance. We were World Cup participants, the players showed themselves, they did well in the World Cup, despite the results. The three national team players will face historic European powerhouses in the first phase of the tournament. Slovan Bratislava, with Martínez and Blackman, will compete against Inter Milan, Real Betis, Shakhtar Donetsk, and VfB Stuttgart at home, and Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma, Lille OSC, and LASK Linz away. Andrade's LASK Linz will host Liverpool FC, FC Porto, Fenerbahçe, and Slovan Bratislava, while playing away against Real Madrid, Sporting CP, Bodø/Glimt, and AEK Athens.
