Panama's IMA announces agro-fair locations for Tuesday, August 11

Panama's Institute of Agricultural Marketing (IMA) continues its initiative to make essential food items accessible and affordable through its "agro-fairs." These events are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 11, across several provinces, offering the public a chance to purchase basic necessities at reduced prices.

The agro-fairs aim to alleviate the cost of living by providing key products from the basic food basket. Items available will include rice, beans, pasta, oil, salt, bread, sugar, grains, vegetables, eggs, tortillas, chicken, plantains, meats, apples, and a variety of fruits.

Residents in Colón can find these deals at Parque Central in the corregimiento of Nombre de Dios, Santa Isabel district. In Herrera, the fair will be held at a lot in front of the Las Llanas School in Los Pozos district. The Comarca Ngäbe Buglé will host an event at the Communal Board of Camarón Arriba, Mironó district.

Veraguas province will have two locations: the Communal House of El Potrero in Calobre district and the Communal Board of Los Milagros in La Mesa district. Chiriquí's fair is set for the community of Tambor in El Cristo, Tolé district. In Panamá Oeste, the Cultural House of Santa Clara in Arraiján district will be the venue. Coclé will host its fair at the Local House of Santa Cruz in Las Minas, Penonomé district.

Finally, in Panamá Este, the community of Brujas in Chimán district and Los Lotes de Pacora, in front of the Carlos Constantino Arosemena School, will offer these affordable products. All fairs are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m.
