Panama's IMA announces locations for low-cost 'agroferias' this Friday

Panama's Institute of Agricultural Marketing (IMA) is continuing its "agroferias" initiative, providing citizens access to essential food items at reduced prices. These markets are designed to help alleviate the cost of basic necessities for the population.

For Friday, July 17, the IMA has announced specific locations and times for these agroferias. Attendees can expect to find a variety of staple products, including rice, beans, pasta, oil, salt, bread, sugar, grains, vegetables, eggs, tortillas, chicken, plantains, meats, apples, and assorted fruits.

The agroferias are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. in multiple provinces. In Veraguas, the event will be held at the parking lots of the Omar Torrijos Herrera Stadium in Santiago. The Comarca Ngäbe Buglé will host an agroferia in the community of Norteño, Jirondai district. Panama Oeste will see the event at the El Nance court in San Carlos. Chiriquí's agroferia will be at the Pedregal court in David, while Los Santos will host theirs at the Cooperativa El Progreso facilities in Agua Buena, Los Santos district. Lastly, Herrera's event will take place at the National Dairy Cattle Fair of Monagrillo in Chitré.
