Panama's U-12 Baseball Team Prepares for Caribbean Series Kids

Panama's U-12 baseball team, the Federales de Chiriquí, are in the final stages of preparation for the 2026 Caribbean Series Kids tournament in Mexico. Coach of pitchers, Elpidio Pinto, expressed confidence in the team's readiness, citing "good arms" among the players and solid work in batting and defense. He emphasized that the recent Probeis Kids league in Panama was crucial for identifying talent and forming the squad that will represent the nation. Pinto noted that the selection process was challenging but yielded strong material for the regional baseball event. The team is undergoing intensive daily training sessions under manager Eddie Serrano, though recent rain has disrupted their schedule. The Federales de Chiriquí are set to travel on August 8 and 9, converging in Guadalajara, Mexico, before proceeding overland to Tepic, the tournament's host city.
