Panama U-20 Team Ready for Concacaf Championship Debut Against Canada

Panama's U-20 national soccer team has finalized its preparations and is set to make its debut in the Concacaf U-20 Championship 2026. The team will face Canada on Sunday, July 26th, in Puebla, Mexico, marking the start of their campaign to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027.

Under the guidance of coach Mike Stump, the squad held its final practice session on Saturday. The training focused on tactical elements and set-piece execution, with minimal physical exertion to ensure the players are fresh for the crucial opening match. The team has been training in Mexico for nearly two weeks, including a preparatory camp in Pachuca.

Following the training, the Panamanian delegation visited the Estadio Universitario BUAP, the venue for their group stage matches. This familiarization tour is a standard protocol before major tournaments. The stadium has a capacity of 22,000 spectators, and entry to the Premundial matches will be free for fans who register online to obtain a QR code.

Panama is in Group C alongside Canada, Jamaica, and Honduras. Their match against Canada is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. local time (3:00 p.m. in Panama).
