Panama Weather: Highs to Reach 34.5°C Saturday Amid Showers

Panama's weather on Saturday, June 13, will be a mix of conditions across the country, according to the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (Imhpa). The Caribbean coast can expect isolated showers in Colón and Guna Yala during the early morning and late night. Some isolated light to moderate downpours are also possible in Bocas del Toro in the afternoon.

The Pacific coast will see isolated moderate showers in Darién and the Emberá region in the early morning. Light, sporadic rain is forecast for northern Coclé, Panamá Oeste, and Panamá during the early morning hours. By afternoon, showers are expected in Veraguas Sur, Herrera, Coclé, and the Metropolitan region. Veraguas Centro and Chiriquí could experience moderate to heavy downpours extending into the evening, particularly near the Costa Rica border.

Temperatures will range from 23.5°C to 25.5°C, dropping to 12°C to 17°C in mountainous areas. Maximum temperatures will reach 31.5°C to 34.5°C in most areas, with cooler highs of 24°C in the Central Mountain Range. Winds will generally be from the north to west-northwest at up to 10 km/h. However, the Pacific coast will experience variable winds from the south and west-southwest, ranging from 5 to 20 km/h, with stronger gusts in Coclé and Panamá Oeste.

The Imhpa also issued a warning about high UV-B radiation levels across Panama, ranging from high to extreme depending on the region. Residents are advised to use sunscreen, sunglasses, and limit sun exposure during peak hours.
