Panathinaikos Faces Busy September with Return to Leoforos Stadium

Panathinaikos is bracing for a particularly challenging September, with a packed schedule that includes a significant return to its historic home stadium, Leoforos.

The agreement allowing the team to use the "Apostolos Nikolaidis" stadium (Leoforos) as its home ground, combined with the draw for the Greek Cup League Phase, creates a unique situation. Panathinaikos will face Kifisia at Leoforos, but as the visiting team, in a Greek Cup match. This marks a symbolic return to their traditional home.

The team's schedule begins on August 31 with an away game against Levadiakos in the Super League. This is followed by the first Greek Cup League Phase match against Niki Volou at OAKA, likely on September 3. A major test awaits on September 6 when Panathinaikos hosts PAOK in the Super League.

Just three days later, on September 9, the team will play its postponed match from the first round against Kifisia in the Super League. Further Super League fixtures include a home game against Panaitolikos on September 13. The unique cup tie against Kifisia at Leoforos is scheduled for September 15, 16, or 17.
