Panevėžys introduces monthly ticket for all paid parking zones

Residents and visitors in Panevėžys will soon benefit from a more streamlined and convenient parking system. The city council has decided to introduce a unified monthly parking ticket, effective September 1.

Under the new regulation, a single 40 euro monthly ticket will grant access to all paid parking zones within the city. This represents a significant change from the previous system, where monthly tickets were tied to specific zones. Previously, a 23 euro ticket was valid only in the green zone, while a 40 euro ticket covered the red or blue zones.

The municipality anticipates that this new, all-encompassing ticket will be particularly beneficial for both local residents and tourists who frequently park in different areas of Panevėžys. The aim is to simplify the payment process and remove the confusion associated with zone-specific permits.

Similar to the existing system, drivers will continue to have multiple options for paying for parking in designated zones. These include cash, bank card, SMS message, or through a dedicated mobile application, ensuring flexibility for users.
