PAOK President Savvidis urges players to 'forget Europe' and 'start from scratch'

PAOK President Ivan Savvidis has rallied his players and coaching staff, urging them to put their painful Conference League elimination behind them and refocus on domestic success. The team departed for Athens to face Atromitos following a disappointing 3-2 loss to Brann in Bergen, which ended their European campaign prematurely.

"Time does not turn back, it does not help us to look back, forget what happened in Europe, it is a bad dream. Tomorrow we start from scratch," Savvidis told the squad. He stressed that anyone associated with PAOK must believe in the team's objectives. "I want to build a team in the offices and on the field that believes in the goal. We must do things we haven't done in the past," he added.

Savvidis emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming match against Atromitos. "Treat every game like a final. 3 points every week, starting tomorrow, nothing else. The start of the championship was not Levadiakos, the start is from tomorrow," he declared. He urged the players to protect the club's dignity and name, proving their status as a major club daily.

The president also called for unwavering support for the head coach during this period of rebuilding. He assured the players that he remains close to the team and that they can always approach him with their concerns. The clear message is that the European setback must be left in the past, with the Atromitos game serving as the first opportunity for PAOK to react and begin a new chapter in the league.
