Paraglider crashes in Montenegro, two injured

A paragliding accident in Montenegro resulted in injuries to two individuals when their craft crashed in the Brajići region, situated on the Budva-Cetinje highway. The Montenegrin police reported the incident, stating that the paraglider was operated by a 44-year-old man from Cetinje, accompanied by a 30-year-old Swedish national.

Following the crash, both individuals were transported to the Cetinje General Hospital. The Montenegrin pilot sustained an injury to his left arm, while the Swedish citizen suffered a head injury. They were subsequently transferred to the Clinical Center of Montenegro for further treatment.

An investigation was conducted near the "Brajići" tunnel under the direction of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor. Experts in air traffic also participated in the inquiry. Preliminary findings suggest that strong winds may have caused the paraglider to crash, leading the instructor to lose control.

The final determination of the cause and circumstances surrounding the accident will be made after the involved specialists submit their findings and opinions. Police and prosecutors are continuing their work to fully clarify the events.
