Paraguay Electoral Justice Rushes Ballot Box and Voting Machine Deployment for June 7 Elections

Paraguay's Electoral Justice is intensifying its logistical operations to ensure the timely delivery of voting materials for the upcoming June 7th internal elections. The organization is prioritizing the secure transport of ballot boxes and voting machines across the nation.

The deployment began with departments like Cordillera and Guairá, and is expanding to include the Paraguayan Chaco and densely populated regions. This Monday, ballot boxes for Presidente Hayes and Boquerón, along with areas of Central and Asunción, are being prepared. Further distribution to Alto Paraná, Itapúa, Concepción, Caaguazú, Amambay, San Pedro, and Canindeyú is scheduled for Wednesday.

To guarantee the integrity of the electoral process, a robust security apparatus is in place. This includes coordination between the National Police and military forces, alongside oversight from the Public Ministry. The swift and transparent distribution of materials is crucial for the upcoming elections, which will determine the candidacies for various political organizations.
