Paraguay Faces Intense Cold Weekend With Temperatures Below 10 Degrees Celsius

Paraguay is bracing for a weekend of intense cold, with temperatures expected to fall below 10 degrees Celsius in numerous regions. The Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts a cold to cool day with partly cloudy skies and light winds from the southeast. Fog is also anticipated during the early morning hours.

No rain or thunderstorms are predicted for any part of the country today or over the next two days. This cold snap has firmly settled over Paraguay. Asunción recorded a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius before dawn on Friday, with overnight lows expected to reach 7 degrees in the capital. Other cities like Ciudad del Este and Encarnación will see lows of 9 degrees, while the Chaco region could dip to 7 degrees. Daytime highs are projected to hover around 20 degrees Celsius for most of the country.

Similar conditions are anticipated for the coming days. The capital, Asunción, is expected to have minimum temperatures of 10 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday. Some southern areas of Paraguay may experience lows as low as 7 degrees Celsius.
