Paraguay Forecasts Cold Mornings with Temperatures Below 10°C

Paraguay is bracing for a chilly weekend as the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) forecasts cold mornings across the country on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Several locations are expected to record minimum temperatures of 10°C (50°F) or lower, signaling a significant drop in temperature.

Specifically, the DMH predicts minimum temperatures of 9°C (48.2°F) in the southern cities of Pilar and Encarnación, as well as in San Juan Bautista. The city of Caazapá is expected to experience a slightly milder minimum of 10°C (50°F).

In addition to the cold, scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms are anticipated in the northeastern departments, including Concepción, San Pedro, Ciudad del Este, Pedro Juan Caballero, and Salto del Guairá. The capital city, Asunción, and other central regions such as Caacupé, Villarrica, Coronel Oviedo, Caazapá, Paraguarí, Pozo Colorado, Fuerte Olimpo, and Mariscal Estigarribia will also experience more dispersed rainfall.
