Paraguay weather: Rains to subside, with scattered showers expected

Paraguay is anticipating a shift towards more stable weather as the initial hours of Thursday still brought drizzles to many parts of the country, following days of substantial rainfall. The Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts a cool day with mostly cloudy skies and variable winds, but expects conditions to improve by the end of Thursday.

However, the respite may be short-lived, as new rains and even occasional thunderstorms are predicted for Friday. These are expected to be confined to the northern and eastern parts of the country, sparing the southern and central regions, including the capital, Asunción. By Saturday, only scattered showers are anticipated in some northern areas.

The weather remains cool across Paraguay. Thursday's temperatures in Asunción and Ciudad del Este are expected to range from a low of 13 degrees Celsius to a high of 19 and 21 degrees, respectively. Other cities will experience similar conditions, with lows as low as 11 degrees in Encarnación and highs reaching up to 20 degrees in Villarrica and Coronel Oviedo.

Looking ahead, a slight increase in temperatures is projected for the coming days. By Friday, the capital could see highs of 21 degrees, potentially reaching 25 degrees by Saturday, with minimum temperatures hovering between 15 and 16 degrees.
