Paraguay weather: Where to expect storms this weekend

Paraguay is bracing for a weekend of significant rainfall and thunderstorms, according to the national Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology. The forecast indicates that precipitation will continue throughout Saturday and could extend to cover most of the country, including the capital Asunción, by Sunday.

Friday's weather is expected to be cool to warm with mostly cloudy skies and variable winds. Scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms are anticipated, mainly affecting the northern and eastern regions. The rest of the country, including Asunción, is not expected to see significant rainfall on Friday. Saturday's conditions are predicted to remain similar to Friday's.

However, the situation is expected to intensify on Sunday, with rains potentially spreading to the majority of the country. This widespread rainfall will likely be accompanied by electrical storms. Despite the incoming storms, temperatures are expected to remain mild, with Friday's minimums ranging from 12 to 17 degrees Celsius and maximums between 20 and 28 degrees across the nation.

Looking ahead, the ambient temperature is set to rise slightly. Saturday will see minimum temperatures of 16 degrees in the capital, while Sunday's minimums will reach 20 degrees. Maximum temperatures could climb to 30 degrees in the northern parts of the country over the coming days.
