ParaZero wins first U.S. government order for DefendAir counter-drone system

ParaZero Technologies, an Israeli defense-tech firm, has secured its first U.S. government order for its DefendAir counter-drone system. The sale marks a significant entry into the U.S. government market for the company's physical interception technology.

The order encompasses DefendAir net launchers, Net Pods, and on-site operator training, highlighting ParaZero's approach to providing an integrated operational capability rather than just hardware. The company stated that the deal underscores the increasing demand from governments and security organizations for effective counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS).

ParaZero's DefendAir system utilizes patented net-launching technology designed to neutralize small drones. Unlike kinetic or explosive methods, this system offers a safer alternative for deployment in urban environments, around airports, and near sensitive facilities where traditional counter-drone solutions pose unacceptable risks. The manually operated configuration serves as a final layer of defense.
