Parents suspect murder after model found dead in Kaohsiung apartment

Authorities are investigating the death of a 33-year-old male model found deceased in his rented apartment in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The discovery was made after the landlord reported being unable to contact the tenant for several days.

Police gained entry to the apartment, which was locked from the inside, and found the man, identified by the surname Hsieh, already deceased. Initial observations at the scene noted no signs of a struggle, and the doors and windows appeared undamaged. A large plastic bag was reportedly found at the scene.

While the circumstances initially suggested a possible suicide, Hsieh's parents have strongly contested this theory. They revealed that they had helped their son repay over a million New Taiwan dollars in debts. Given this financial support, they find it implausible that he would take his own life and suspect he may have been murdered.

The deceased worked in public relations and as a male model. His last social media post, made approximately five months prior, read, "Don't regret the path you chose." Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the vicinity and are awaiting autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death and to clarify the events leading up to the incident.
