Paris knife attack injures three; suspect apprehended

A knife attack near Porte de Clichy in northern Paris on Monday left three people wounded, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. between the brasserie Les deux coupoles and the Porte de Clichy tramway stop. Two of the victims sustained severe injuries and are in critical condition, while the third victim suffered less severe wounds and is in stable condition. They were attended to by emergency services and transported to a hospital. According to police sources, an off-duty police officer witnessed a man armed with two knives attacking passersby. The officer intervened, alerted backup, and apprehended the assailant. A video circulating on social media appears to show the suspect being restrained on the ground, disoriented, and uttering, "Allah ordered me." The national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office stated it is observing the proceedings handled by the Paris prosecutor's office.
