Paris Motor Show: With many premieres

The Paris Motor Show, one of the oldest automotive exhibitions, opens its doors in October, signaling a period of significant innovation in the automotive world. The event will highlight new powertrain systems, with electric mobility taking center stage. Manufacturers are returning to a show that began in 1898, bringing with them new models poised to hit the roads soon.

Chinese manufacturers are expected to play a crucial role, with a substantial presence at the exhibition. This aligns with the enduring appeal of the Paris show, which drew over half a million visitors in its last iteration in 2024, demonstrating that enthusiasts still value seeing new models in person despite the internet's prevalence.

The exhibition will span 80,000 square meters, featuring nearly 600 exhibitors and over 2,000 vehicles. Hybrid and electric models, along with other innovations, are anticipated to capture significant media and visitor attention. Stellantis Group alone announced it will present over 60 new models from its brands, including Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Lancia, Leapmotor, Opel, and Peugeot.

Notable premieres include the return of Lancia with its new Gamma, which will be a flagship model available in both fully electric and hybrid versions. DS will launch the new DS Nº 7 with electric and hybrid options offering up to 740 kilometers of range. Chinese brand Zeekr will showcase its full range, including the Zeekr 7X SUV, Zeekr 001 shooting brake, Zeekr X compact SUV, and the new Zeekr 7GT. The smart #2 will make its global debut.

Beyond new production vehicles, the show will also feature a "dream car" section, including iconic models like the Ferrari F40, Aston Martin DB5, Mercedes SLR, Porsche 964 Turbo, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and Alpine Pikes Peak. However, BMW has opted out of the show, citing a revision of priorities, while Mercedes-Benz will present a wide array of new models. Audi, Alfa Romeo, Volvo, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and Honda are also confirmed participants.
