Park Gun and Han Young purchase over 400 pyeong of land for second home

South Korean singers Park Gun and Han Young have shared a surprising update on their lives, revealing the purchase of a sprawling property in Goesan, South Korea. The couple acquired land measuring over 400 pyeong (approximately 1,322 square meters), fulfilling Park Gun's long-held aspiration for rural living.

I had a rural living dream even before marriage. I also have many schedules in the countryside, so I looked for a house while traveling all over the country and prepared a second house in Goesan, Chungbuk.

Appearing on the SBS entertainment program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny,' the couple disclosed their plans for a second home. Park Gun explained that his frequent work schedules across the country inspired his desire for a countryside residence. After searching nationwide, they settled on a location in Goesan, a decision Han Young supported by handling the land purchase.

Park Gun highlighted the strategic location of their new property, noting its proximity to a military base and their in-laws in Cheonan, which Han Young found convenient. The decision to build in Goesan was also influenced by the desire to be closer to family.

My wife bought the land and we came here.

However, the construction of their dream home has encountered delays. Park Gun explained that they are currently living in a tent on the property, reminiscent of his military service days. This temporary arrangement is due to significant challenges with rising global material costs and ongoing international uncertainties, which have made building prohibitively expensive at the moment. They plan to construct the house at a later date.

There is a military base right next door, and my in-laws are in Cheonan nearby. My wife said it was convenient. The location is good.

The sheer scale of their property has astonished viewers, with the yard alone spanning 200 pyeong, the house site covering 139 pyeong, and an additional 100 pyeong dedicated to parking, bringing the total to an impressive 439 pyeong.

I wanted to build a house in the back, but there are wars all over the world, and materials are also (too expensive), so there are many difficulties. We will build the house later, and instead of a house, we are living in a tent temporarily, thinking of our military days.
