Park Yong-jin criticizes Yoo Si-min's remarks on President Lee as 'hitting to hurt'

Park Yong-jin, deputy chairman of the Rationalization of Regulations Committee, has voiced disappointment with commentator Yoo Si-min's recent sharp criticisms of President Lee Jae-myung, describing them as "hitting to hurt" rather than constructive feedback.

Park stated in a radio interview that Yoo's characterizations of President Lee as an "arrogant ruler" and his predictions of the president's "inevitable failure" did not seem like "affectionate criticism." He contrasted this with a "slight prick" from a syringe, suggesting Yoo's words were intended to inflict pain.

Park expressed regret that Yoo, an economist by training, has not focused his considerable influence on addressing the pressing economic concerns of ordinary citizens. He suggested that Yoo could offer valuable insights and lead discussions on the direction of the South Korean economy, which he believes would be a more beneficial use of his platform.
