Pärnu's architectural gem, a villa awaiting its time, shines again in full splendor

A century-old, elegant wooden villa in Pärnu, Estonia, is regaining its former glory as part of a significant real estate development near the city's beach.

The villa, named "Bellevue," is a striking architectural gem with two distinctive corner towers and delicate carvings. For a considerable period, it remained hidden from view, concealed by scaffolding as restoration efforts progressed. The villa's revival is a central feature of a larger complex that includes three modern apartment buildings.

While the overall development has taken shape over the past year, construction is still active within the buildings and on the grounds. The sounds of tools and the presence of numerous construction workers indicate the final push towards completion. The developer aims to finish the entire complex this autumn, with the intention of handing over the apartments to their new owners shortly thereafter.

The project elegantly blends the old with the new, juxtaposing modern design with historical significance. The "Bellevue" villa, situated at the corner of Tammsaare boulevard and Kuuse street, is designed to impress with its blue and cream facade, reminiscent of a finely decorated cake. Its restoration signifies a commitment to preserving architectural heritage while embracing contemporary living.
