Passers-by find body of cyclist who died in crash near Heilbronn

Passers-by found the body of a 58-year-old man after he fell from his mountain bike near Heilbronn, police said.

The cyclist had been riding on Saturday along a field road parallel to Federal Highway 39. He apparently fell shortly before the end of an incline, and police said no other person was believed to have been involved.

The cause of the fall remains unclear. Police said a medical problem could also have played a role. The man was not wearing a helmet, according to investigators, who are continuing to examine the incident.
