Patriotic Convoy Tours Kuala Lumpur to Foster National Pride

Kuala Lumpur is buzzing with patriotic fervor as the Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) patriotic convoy begins its journey through six key areas of the capital city today. Organized by the Malaysian Department of Information (JaPen), the program aims to ignite and strengthen the spirit of love for the nation, particularly during the national month celebrations. Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil flagged off the event at Taman Seri Sentosa, marking the start of a tour that will visit diverse locations including Kepong Metropolitan Lake Gardens, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail Wholesale Market, Seputeh Fire and Rescue Station, Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital, Petronas Cochrane Perkasa, and concluding at NZ Curry House in Wangsa Maju. This year's convoy features over 35 participants and 10 vehicles representing various government departments and agencies. Notably, the Royal Malaysia Police's Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) Kuala Lumpur, and the Kuala Lumpur City Hall are among the participating bodies, highlighting a unified governmental effort. At each stop, participants will distribute 'One House One Jalur Gemilang' kits to cluster representatives, encouraging widespread display of the national flag. The program is designed to be engaging for the community, featuring cultural performances, patriotic songs, national quizzes, and even a fire department rappelling demonstration. "This is one of the programs to further ignite the spirit of love for the country, provide activities for the community, including the Madani community," Fahmi stated, emphasizing the program's role in fostering unity and national pride. He believes the KMJG initiative will significantly enhance patriotism and deepen the love for Malaysia among its citizens.
