Patrol accident in Iztapalapa; 10 Ateneas police officers injured after collision with truck

Ten officers from the Ateneas group, part of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC), sustained injuries following a traffic accident involving their official vehicle and a delivery truck in the Iztapalapa borough of Mexico City. The collision occurred on Eje 3 Oriente at the intersection with Escuadrón 201 avenue in the Escuadrón 201 neighborhood.

Paramedics from the Emergency Rescue and Medical Attention Squad (ERUM) responded to the scene to provide aid to the ten officers, who suffered various bodily contusions. Authorities have not reported any of the injuries as life-threatening at this time. The SSC has initiated internal procedures through its Directorate General of Internal Affairs to guarantee medical care for the injured officers and is coordinating with the involved insurance company to assess the damages.
