Paul Pelosi faces hit-and-run charge after vehicle strikes parked car in California

Paul Pelosi, the husband of former US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is facing a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge following a collision in Yountville, California. The Napa County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Pelosi was driving a vehicle that struck a parked car on Friday afternoon, causing major damage to the vehicle on the shoulder of the road.

Deputies determined Pelosi was the driver responsible for the collision. According to statements, Pelosi reported hitting something but was unsure of what, and continued driving until his own vehicle became disabled. He was not arrested at the scene, and authorities stated that no alcohol was detected during questioning.

This incident follows a prior DUI arrest in 2022, where Pelosi pleaded guilty to driving under the influence after colliding with another vehicle in Napa County. He was sentenced to three years of probation for that offense.
