Peace Council: Israeli Army to Withdraw After Hamas Disarmament

The Peace Council, an entity established by former U.S. President Donald Trump, has declared that Israeli forces will not withdraw from the Gaza Strip until the Palestinian organization Hamas is completely disarmed. This firm stance was communicated following a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement posted on the platform X, the Peace Council emphasized that the full withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) beyond the "yellow line" is contingent upon the completion of the disarmament process, a commitment reportedly made by Hamas to mediators. The "yellow line" demarcates the areas within Gaza under Hamas control from those under the control of the Israeli military.
