Pedestrian Injured in Motorcycle Collision on Bandung’s Soekarno-Hatta Road

A 50-year-old pedestrian identified by the initials AS was injured after being hit by a motorcycle on Soekarno-Hatta Road in Bandung on Wednesday night, September 2, 2026.

The collision occurred at about 9:25 p.m. in Cibuntu, within Bandung Kulon district. Police said the motorcycle, bearing registration number D 5573 AAR, was traveling east to west along the road when the pedestrian crossed from north to south.

When they arrived at the scene, the motorcycle rider hit the pedestrian who was crossing from north to south.

The injured pedestrian was taken to Hasan Sadikin Hospital for treatment. The motorcycle rider, identified by the initials DS, is a 51-year-old resident of Cimahi.

AKP Fiekry Adi Perdana of the Bandung city police traffic unit said officers had examined the crash site and questioned several witnesses. He said the cause of the collision remained under investigation. The incident followed an earlier case in which two students were hit by a motorcycle while crossing the same road.
