Pejuang names sole candidate for Johor election, joins PN coalition

Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) has named its sole candidate for the upcoming Johor State Election, with Suraya Sulaiman set to contest the Gambir state constituency. The announcement was made by Pejuang Johor Information Chief Suraya Sulaiman herself, who is also the party's candidate. Pejuang President Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir introduced Suraya Sulaiman as the Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate for the Gambir seat. He urged the combined machinery of Pejuang and other PN component parties in the area to collaborate closely to win over voters. Mukhriz expressed confidence that PN could secure a majority mandate from Johor's residents in the state election on July 11, enabling them to form a new state government. He emphasized that achieving this goal requires hard work. Last Tuesday, PN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar confirmed that Pejuang and Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) had been officially accepted as coalition members. The Johor State Election is scheduled for July 11.
