Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro Arrested by KPK, Possesses Rp21.3 Billion in Assets

The Regent of Pemalang, Anom Widiyantoro, was apprehended by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a sting operation on Tuesday, July 28. Widiyantoro, elected with deputy Nurkholes in the simultaneous regional elections of 2024, had served less than two years in office.

According to his latest Report on State Official Assets (LHKPN) submitted to the KPK, Widiyantoro declared total wealth amounting to Rp21.3 billion. This includes 18 plots of land and buildings spread across various regions, valued at approximately Rp12.2 billion. His movable assets, including vehicles ranging from Mercedes-Benz to Harley Davidson, are valued at around Rp1.1 billion.

Further details of his assets include other movable property worth Rp440 million, securities valued at Rp902.2 million, cash and cash equivalents of Rp782.2 million, and other assets totaling Rp7 billion. After accounting for debts of approximately Rp1.2 billion, his net worth stands at Rp21.3 billion.

KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto confirmed the arrest of the Pemalang Regent. However, Rohcahyanto declined to reveal the specific case that led to Widiyantoro's arrest or the total number of individuals detained. He directed inquiries for further details to the KPK's spokesperson.
