Penghu's 'Magic Bean Shop' launches Mid-Autumn Festival products to warm reception

The "Magic Bean Shop" (Mo Dou Xiao Pu), Penghu's first sheltered workshop, celebrated the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival with a product launch event for its new gift boxes. The event, held at the social welfare center for people with disabilities, showcased three new flavors: "Osmanthus Oolong," featuring the sweetness of baked osmanthus and oolong tea; "Red Heart Lemon," a blend of refreshing red guava and tart lemon; and "Japanese Yuzu Crisp," made with yuzu from Tainan's Madou district. The shop also featured its popular "Pineapple Egg Yolk Pastry."

Distinguished guests, including Vice Magistrate Lin Jiaxing, Speaker Chen Yuren, and Councilor Lu Huang Chun Jin, served as brand ambassadors for the event, actively participating in pre-orders. The gift boxes are available in sets of three, six, and nine, suitable for gifting or personal enjoyment. To encourage early purchases, a 5% discount is offered on pre-orders placed between now and September 10th. Special discounts are available for bulk orders, and free delivery within Penghu is provided for orders exceeding 5,000 NT dollars.

The new Mid-Autumn Festival offerings highlight the hard work and growth of the shop's employees, combining local ingredients with innovative flavors to offer a fresh take on traditional mooncakes. The event saw significant pre-orders, with Vice Magistrate Lin ordering 400 boxes, Speaker Chen ordering 350, and Councilor Lu ordering 100, among other large orders from institutions like the Jianshan Power Plant.
