PENSION PAIN

Years after retiring from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), two former district constables find themselves in a state of financial distress, claiming they have yet to receive their full pensions. The delay in payments has left them demanding answers and struggling to manage their finances.

Derrick Foster, one of the former constables, shared his experience after dedicating 36 years of service to the JCF, working at the Pedro Plains Police Station in St. Elizabeth. Two years following his retirement, he reported receiving an interim payment of approximately $800,000. This amount was intended as a temporary measure until his final pension disbursement could be processed.
