The People Power Party further accused the ruling Democratic Party of focusing on establishing a special prosecutor to nullify five ongoing trials against Lee Jae-myung. They believe this special prosecutor is not only aimed at absolving Lee but also at retaliating against prosecutors, judges, and witnesses who have been involved in his investigations and trials. This alleged retaliatory action is seen as a dangerous precedent that undermines the rule of law.

Adding to their criticism, the party highlighted the Democratic Party's mass indictment of 31 witnesses for perjury, calling it a "large-scale retaliatory indictment." They also expressed concern that the ruling party's actions, including the push for the special prosecutor, are designed to influence the upcoming local elections by creating an atmosphere of fear and coercion. The party warned that such tactics, reminiscent of Nazi and Japanese total war efforts, would ultimately lead to the downfall of the current administration, just as those historical campaigns ended in ruin.
