Perak Sejahtera 2030 Enhanced for Citizen Well-being

The Perak Sejahtera 2030 development plan is set to undergo enhancements to ensure that the state's rapid economic growth translates into comprehensive benefits for its citizens, with a particular focus on job creation, business opportunities, and overall well-being. The Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, stated that the state government will conduct a mid-term review to maintain the plan's relevance towards 2030.

This takes into account the effectiveness of existing implementation, engagement findings, the Perak Policy Research Conference 2026, the framework of the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMK-13), and new economic trends.

This review will involve aligning monitoring indicators, refining key agendas and flagship projects, and updating the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Dashboard. The process will consider the effectiveness of current implementations, feedback from stakeholder engagement, the Perak Policy Research Conference 2026, the framework of the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMK-13), and emerging economic trends. The theme, 'Results Felt, Confidence Built,' will guide future actions, ensuring the plan remains a dynamic framework for implementation rather than just a planning document.

The theme 'Results Felt, Confidence Built' will be the basis for future work so that Perak Sejahtera 2030 remains not just a planning document but continues to be a living framework that is implemented and gives meaning to the lives of the people.

The mid-term review, to be executed promptly by the Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) and the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) Perak, will determine any necessary adjustments to the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan. Saarani noted that some districts are progressing faster than others, necessitating tailored modifications. The ultimate goal is to foster a prosperous Perak where residents have stable, quality incomes and enjoy a high quality of life.

It depends on the results of the mid-term study because we find that some districts are far ahead, while others are still slow, we need to adapt.

Now in its fourth year of implementation, Perak Sejahtera 2030 is on a solid trajectory to convert the state's economic growth into tangible benefits for its people. Saarani emphasized that economic achievements and investments are meaningful only when they lead to increased employment, business prospects, and improved livelihoods. Therefore, the plan prioritizes initiatives related to the cost of living, food security, education, healthcare, housing, TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training), entrepreneurship, and job opportunities, ensuring that the fruits of development are widely shared.
